Case Information

Robbins Geller has filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of consumers who purchased a Whirlpool, Maytag, Kitchen Aid, or Jenn Air gas or electric stove, range, or oven containing Whirlpool’s “AquaLift® Self-Cleaning Technology,” advertised by Whirlpool as, among other things, being capable of using “heat and water to release tough baked-on soils from the oven interior in less than 1 hour.”  The lawsuit alleges that the AquaLift self-cleaning technology does not work as advertised and marketed by Whirlpool.  Instead, contrary to Whirlpool’s proclamations, consumers who purchased these stoves, ranges, and ovens are forced to manually clean the interior of their appliances after using the AquaLift self-cleaning technology.
